Mahlep (or Mahalepi) is an aromatic spice made from the seeds of wild cherries The cherry stones are cracked to extract the seed kernel, soft and chewy on extraction. The seed kernel is ground to a powder before use. Its flavour is similar to a combination of bitter almond and cherry (similar also to marzipan)

Diren's Aromatized Mahlep Wine, also called "Mahlep Vermouth", is a semi-dry and sweet wine made from Horozkarası , Öküzgözü, Syrah & Boğazkere grapes. Enjoy chilled, straight or along with dark chocolate, dark fruit desserts, and alongside a Turkish coffee. And as a unique and exotic cocktail. Similiar to Dubonnet
